Black Forest Cake Overnight Oats Cherry Sauce
Black Forest cake overnight oats 🍒🍫
Cherry sauce layer:
2 cups frozen cherries
1 tbsp sugar free maple syrup
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 1/2 tsp corn starch
In a small pot add your lemon juice, maple syrup, and corn starch. Whisk to combine. Place over medium heat and bring to a simmer continuing to whisk until thickened (this happens quick!). Add in your cherries and stir to combine. Allow to continue to cook, stirring until the entire mixture is bubbling and thickens (approx 6-8 mins). Remove from the heat, place in a bowl, and allow to cool. Refrigerate overnight to fully thicken.
Overnight Oats layer:
1/2 cup oats
1 scoop optimum nutrition chocolate protein powder
3/4 cup silk cashew milk
1/2 tsp instant espresso powder
Pinch of diamond crystal salt kosher salt
1 tbsp manitoba harvest hemp seeds
1 tbsp prana snacks chia seeds
1 tbsp nuts dotcom unsweetened cacao powder
1 scoop vital proteins collagen powder
Add all of the above into a bowl or jar and mix to combine. Refrigerate overnight.
Greek yogurt layer:
1/2 cup oikos_canada 0%mf plain Greek yogurt
1 scoop optimum nutrition vanilla protein powder
In a bowl mix together the Greek yogurt and protein powder till evenly combine.
When ready to serve layer oats, cherry sauce, and Greek yogurt. Top with prana snacks cacao nibs and a fresh cherry.
