Healthy Turkey Cheese Steak Sandwich 🥪
2 sliced mushrooms
1 tsp olive oil
1/4 sliced green pepper
2 slices onion
3 lily dale canada turkey sausages (casing removed)
A slice of herb and garlic cheese
2 slices carbonaut baking seeded multigrain bread
In a fry pan heat your oil. Add the mushrooms and onions cooking through. Add your peppers and cook until desired tenderness. Set aside in a bowl. In the same fry pan cook your turkey sausages breaking them into small chunks. Add salt and pepper.
Once turkey is fully cooked add your set aside veggies back into the pan. Stir to evenly combine and scoop into the centre of the pan to form the mix into a small pile the shape of your bread. Top with cheese and allow to melt.
Scoop mixture onto one slice of bread. Spread a small amount on light mayo on the second slice of bread and top your sandwich.
